2011…started off the year injured (knee), ending the year injured (wrist, knee in late recovery period). It was a good year though. Had rough but important experiences, and hopefully I’ve grown from them. Finally broke into the top16 at two jams (well…I tied for 16th at one, and was knocked to 17th, but still…). I guess dance-wise I improved a lot…no multiple airflares yet, but airflare-flare and there was a period of time over the summer where i could throw the second airflare but not catch it. also elbow 1.5 is nice…finally put that 10% into tombstones, flare combos, etc. I think I also finally learned how to study…still working on being more efficient, but now I at least can learn decently well. GRE reasoning is also now behind me…got a publication…got better at the guitar…

what’s in store for 2012?
in general my resolution is to be a better person, but this year i think to become a better person i want to give more. one sense is external. i want to give more time/attention/care to my loved ones. i want to give back to the communities that i belong to. the other is internal. i want to give 200% to everything (important) that i do, whether it be research, my studies, dance, music, etc. like my sister once told me: give everything but don’t give up. i hope that this year i can apply a very focused and hungry commitment to my life.
a more specific list of resolutions/goals:
1. wrap up my research project this spring
2. continue raising my GPA/learning a lot/being a better student
3. break into top 8 at a jam
4. do well on the GRE phyx so i can get into grad school
5. stretch everyday/avoid injuries/be healthier in general
6. be a better friend to those around me
7. airflares, airflares, airflares
8. LEARN ALL THE (BASIC)POWERMOVES
9. elevate.
